“Prime Minister Narendra Modi Receives Special Gift from Chess Star Vantika Agarwal During Meeting with Chess Olympiad 2024 Winners”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was recently gifted a special memento by chess star Vantika Agarwal during a meeting with the Chess Olympiad 2024 double gold winners. The gift was a picture from the ‘Swami Vivekananda Mahila Chess Mahotsav’ event organized by PM Modi back in 2012 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Prime Minister expressed his happiness at receiving such a thoughtful gift from Vantika.

In addition to this heartwarming moment, PM Modi also observed a game of bullet chess between two members of India’s historic Chess Olympiad-winning team, R Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi. The Indian men’s and women’s teams made history by securing gold medals in their respective categories for the first time, marking a significant achievement in Indian chess history.

The Prime Minister took to social media to share a video of the intense bullet chess game, praising the skills of the Grandmasters and highlighting the bright future of Indian chess. The Indian teams’ success at the FIDE Chess Olympiad was celebrated during the meeting with PM Modi, where he congratulated and honored the players for their outstanding performance.

The Indian men’s team, consisting of D Gukesh, R Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Erigaisi, Vidit Gujrathi, and Pentala Harikrishna, clinched the gold medal by defeating Slovenia in the final round. The women’s team, featuring Harika Dronavalli, R Vaishali, Divya Deshmukh, Vantika Agarwal, and Tania Sachdev, also secured gold by beating Azerbaijan in the final round.

Overall, the meeting between PM Modi and the Chess Olympiad winners was a moment of pride and celebration for Indian chess, showcasing the talent and dedication of the players in achieving such remarkable success on the international stage.
