The King of Bullet Brawl, GM Hikaru Nakamura, returned to the top of Chess.com’s high-speed titled arena on Saturday, claiming the $400 first prize and extending his all-time win count to 35. Nakamura’s impressive performance saw him score 72/81 without conceding any draws, reaching a winning score of 261.

GMs Andrew Tang and Daniel Naroditsky secured second and third place in the event with scores of 241 and 215, respectively. The best women’s prize was once again won by IM Karina Ambartsumova, who scored 100 points.

The next edition of Bullet Brawl is set to commence on Saturday, February 8, at noon ET/18:00 CEST. The event attracted 238 titled hopefuls, all vying for their share of the $1,000 prize fund and a chance to play against some of the world’s best bullet chess players.

Nakamura, the top seed, showcased his dominance from the start, winning 10 games straight before eventually securing the victory. Despite facing tough competition from players like Sam Sevian and Jose Martinez, Nakamura’s strategic gameplay and tactical prowess proved too strong for his opponents.

With 35 wins under his belt, Nakamura has solidified his position as the king of Bullet Brawl, winning approximately 38% of all brawls since the tournament’s inception. His rivalry with Naroditsky, who has 27 wins to his name, adds an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
