Indian Grandmasters D Gukesh and R Praggnanandhaa are set to showcase their skills at the upcoming Paris leg of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour 2025. Joining them will be fellow Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi, who has already confirmed his participation in the prestigious event scheduled for April.

The Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour is a highly anticipated series of tournaments that attract top chess players from around the world. The Paris leg will be the second stop on the tour, following the recent Weissenhaus leg. With Gukesh, Praggnanandhaa, and Erigaisi all confirmed to compete, the Indian contingent is expected to make a strong showing in Paris.

Gukesh, who recently participated in the Weissenhaus leg in Germany, faced tough competition and finished eighth out of 10 players. However, with the experience gained from that event, he will be looking to put up a better performance in Paris. Praggnanandhaa, another talented young Grandmaster, will also be aiming to make his mark on the international stage.

The participation of these Indian Grandmasters in the Paris leg will not only provide them with valuable experience but also serve as crucial preparation for the New Delhi edition of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour later this year. With India set to host one of the upcoming legs of the tour, the Indian players will be looking to hone their skills and compete at the highest level.

Chess fans around the world will be eagerly watching as Gukesh, Praggnanandhaa, and Erigaisi take on some of the best players in the world in Paris. The Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour promises to be an exciting and competitive series of events, and the Indian Grandmasters are sure to add to the excitement with their impressive skills and strategic gameplay.
