Join the Chess.com 4 Player Chess Championship – Chaos and Madness Await!
Get ready for some free-for-all madness over 160 squares as the Chess.com 4 Player Chess Championship approaches! The event, part of the Chess.com Community Championships, will take place from April 14 to April 18 and boasts a $5,000 prize fund.
4 Player Chess is a popular variant on Chess.com, where four players compete on an extended, cross-shaped board with 160 squares. This month’s championship will focus on chaos, with players earning points for capturing pieces, including kings, in the free-for-all format.
The event will consist of eight qualifiers spread across four days, with each qualifier being a two-hour arena with a 4+0 time control. Players will earn points based on their finishing position in each game, with the top players advancing to the Semifinals and eventually the Grand Final.
To ensure fair play, participants may be required to join a video call during the event, with players needing to set up two cameras from different angles in the room. Non-compliance will result in removal from the event.
Excitement is building for this unique edition of the Chess.com Community Championships. Are you ready to test your skills in 4 Player Chess? Let us know in the comments what other variants you’d like to see in future events!
