Chess.com, the world’s largest chess site, has announced an exciting partnership with Duolingo, the popular language learning platform. This collaboration brings a unique and fun experience to chess enthusiasts around the world.

To celebrate the partnership, Chess.com has introduced multilingual bots on their Play Computer page for the first time ever. Players can now challenge Duolingo’s characters, who speak a variety of languages including Spanish, French, German, and more. The bots have different personalities and skill levels, adding a new dimension to online chess play.

Chess.com Chief Chess Officer, IM Danny Rensch, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Chess is arguably the most international game we have today, and we hope language learning will surge synonymously with chess play on Chess.com to reach even more international players.”

George Audi, Global Head of Business Development for Duolingo, highlighted the shared values of both platforms, saying, “By bringing Duolingo’s lovable cast of characters to Chess.com as playable bots in multiple languages, we’re combining the joy of learning a language with the thrill of improving your chess game.”

Until December 2nd, Chess.com members can claim free Super Duolingo subscriptions, with Premium members eligible for an extended offer. Duolingo learners can also participate in a chess-themed monthly challenge to earn a Diamond membership on Chess.com.
