Petrol Shortage Hits Sharjah as Pumps Run Dry

Motorists in Sharjah faced a fuel shortage crisis on Wednesday morning as petrol pumps in the emirate ran dry, causing chaos and long queues at gas stations. Eppco and ENOC pumps were affected, with no clear timeline for when supply would be restored.

This is the second time in recent months that motorists have had to deal with petrol shortages in the country, with a previous disruption at Emarat pumps in Dubai. The shortage was attributed to the upgrading of selected stations by ENOC, causing inconvenience to customers.

Frustrated motorists rushed to Adnoc stations in Abu Dhabi in panic, with cars lining up on the roads. Some drivers reported being turned away from multiple stations in Sharjah and expressed their concerns about the situation becoming a recurring issue.

As the situation unfolded, employees at affected stations cited various reasons for the shortage, while ENOC assured customers that they were working to enhance supplies and upgrade stations. Despite the inconvenience, motorists remained hopeful for a quick resolution to the crisis.
