GM-elect Yagiz Erdogmus emerged victorious in a thrilling final match against FM Henry Tudor in the ChessKid Youth Championships 2024 for players under 13. Despite being the favorite, Erdogmus had to battle it out in overtime to secure a 2-0 sweep after the regular games ended in a tied 2-2 score.

The knockout bracket saw both players who finished first in their groups progress to the final. Erdogmus displayed dominance with a 3-0 victory over Mendes, showcasing his strategic prowess and resilience in critical moments. On the other hand, Tudor faced a tough challenge against Radzimski but managed to secure a 4-2 win to advance to the final.
