“Live Chess by the Falls: A Unique Fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Society”

“Human Chess Game Comes to Niagara Falls to Support Alzheimer’s Society”

Imagine a chess board with 32 people dressed up as chess pieces, playing live chess in public to raise awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s Society. This unique event, organized by Matt Paul, took place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa and is now coming to the Niagara Region.

Matt Paul, a Ridgeway resident, was inspired to bring this activity to the public after his grandfather taught him chess and emphasized the importance of cognitive stimulation as we age. The event in Ottawa attracted a diverse group of participants, including a member of the Algonquin people and a NATO employee.

The live chess game is not only a fun and engaging activity but also serves as a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Society. Participants are encouraged to donate directly to the charity through the event website, livechessbythefalls.com.

The upcoming game in Niagara Falls promises to be a memorable experience, with tourists already planning to participate. The event will take place in Queen Victoria Park, with sponsorships available to offset costs and support the charity.

If you’re interested in joining the human chess game on August 25, visit livechessbythefalls.com for more information and to sign up. Don’t miss this opportunity to have fun, spread joy, and support a great cause. Are you game?
