GMs Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Ju Wenjun both secured their first wins at the 2024 TePe Sigeman Chess Tournament on Tuesday, showcasing their exceptional skills on the board. Abdusattorov outplayed GM Nils Grandelius with impressive speed and precision, while Ju Wenjun, the women’s world champion, defeated GM Vincent Keymer in a thrilling battle that lasted over five hours.

The players are competing in an eight-player single round-robin format with a time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game and a 30-second increment per move.
