The Community Championship Series is back with a bang as the 2024 Chess.com Bughouse Championship kicked off on Monday. Among the 400 participating teams, two standout teams, GM Lars Oskar Hauge and NM Isaac Chiu, along with GMs Jeffery Xiong and Awonder Liang, have secured their spots in the $7,500 final scheduled for Friday.
The competition is heating up as players gear up for the upcoming qualifiers. The third qualifier is set to take place on Tuesday, August 20, at 1:30 pm ET, followed by the fourth qualifier on the same day at 7:30 pm ET. Participants are encouraged to find a partner and take on the world’s best bughouse players for a chance to advance to the final rounds.
