Grandmaster Andrew Tang, known as “penguingm1” on Chess.com, has punched his ticket to the knockout stage of the 2024 Chess.com Bughouse Championship. Tang and his partner, “BughouseKnight,” emerged victorious in the sixth qualifier, scoring an impressive 255 points to secure their spot in the next round.

Tang, a highly skilled player with a rating of 2569, will now set his sights on challenging the tournament favorites, GMs Awonder Liang and Jeffery Xiong. The duo will be looking to make a statement and potentially upset the competition in the upcoming rounds.
