Georgia Softball Faces Old-Time Rival Alabama in Tuscaloosa Weekend Series
The Georgia softball team is gearing up for a three-game weekend series against long-time rival Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Alabama, currently receiving votes in the NFCA poll and ranked No. 25 in the ESPN poll, will host the Lady Bulldogs who are coming off a thrilling win against LSU last weekend.
Georgia, with a record of 24-8 overall and 3-6 in the SEC, is looking to continue their momentum after a grand slam from freshman utility player Mua Williams secured a victory over LSU. The team also had a solid midweek win against No. 17/15 Oklahoma State.
The first game of the series will take place on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by game two on Saturday at 3 p.m. and game three on Sunday at noon. Alabama, standing at 23-12 overall and 2-4 in conference play, is on the brink of falling out of the national rankings.
