Tragic Suicide of Elderly Man in Dubai Shocks Community

Elderly Man from Pakistan Commits Suicide in Dubai Days Before Christmas Celebration

In a tragic turn of events, an elderly man from Pakistan, who had been living in Dubai for over two decades, took his own life just days before his family would have celebrated Christmas in the UAE. The man, in his fifties, was found hanging from a chandelier in his apartment by his wife, who had returned home from work.

According to neighbours, the man, identified as Justin H.D., left a suicide note taking responsibility for his actions, but did not provide a reason for his decision. He worked as a sales representative with a marine supplies company.

The man’s family, who has been residing in Dubai for 22 years, was not at home when the incident occurred. Neighbours expressed shock and sadness over the incident, speculating that personal or health issues may have been the cause of the man’s suicide.

This is the third suicide in the Al Khail Gate community in Al Quoz this year, with two incidents occurring within just two weeks. Residents are reeling from the news, especially coming right after a neighbourhood Christmas celebration.

The recent tragedies have left the community in shock and disbelief, with residents expressing their sadness and concern over the mental health of their neighbours. The incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and support in communities.

The authorities have taken the body for autopsy, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic event. The community is coming together to support each other during this difficult time.
