In a thrilling final match, Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaise emerged victorious to secure the WR Chess Masters title after defeating Maxime Vachier-Lagrave of France in the Armageddon game. The final match, which followed two draws in Classical chess, showcased Arjun’s exceptional form and precision throughout the event.

Arjun’s journey to the top was not an easy one. He displayed his skills by defeating his friend R Praggnanandhaa in the semifinals of the knockout event before eventually overcoming Vachier-Lagrave in the final showdown.
