Buffalo Bills’ Alec Anderson Signs Exclusive Rights Free Agent Tender

The Buffalo Bills have solidified their offensive line for the upcoming season by re-signing versatile lineman Alec Anderson. Anderson, who saw significant playing time as a sixth offensive lineman last season, signed a one-year exclusive rights free agent tender to remain with the team.

The 25-year-old Anderson, who went undrafted out of UCLA in 2022, made his NFL debut in the 2024 season opener and went on to appear in every game, including three starts as a sixth lineman and one at left guard. He proved to be a valuable asset to the Bills’ rushing attack, which ranked in the Top 10 in the league.

Despite experiencing a health scare due to heat exhaustion during training camp, Anderson quickly returned to practice and continued to impress his teammates and coaches with his work ethic and toughness. Quarterback Josh Allen praised Anderson for his dependability and willingness to do the dirty work on the field.

With Anderson back in the fold, the Bills’ offensive line looks to build on their success from last season, where they were able to move the chains effectively on the ground and protect Allen, allowing the fewest sacks in the NFL. Anderson’s return adds depth and experience to a unit that returns all five starters from the previous year, setting the stage for another strong season in Buffalo.
