“Superstar Sisters Alexandra and Andrea Botez Host FIDE-Rated Chess Camp Event for Female Creators and Players”

Superstar sisters WFM Alexandra and Andrea Botez are making waves in the chess world by hosting a FIDE-rated event for female creators and players for the first time ever. The event, named Chess Camp, will be held at a luxurious mansion in Malibu, California, from July 24 to July 31 and boasts a substantial $17,500 prize fund.

Joining the Botez sisters in this exciting event are six other prominent women in the chess community. Participants include chess creators WFM Anna Cramling, WGM Nemo Zhou, WGM Dina Belenkaya, Jules Schulman (aka JulesGambit), singer Linda Diaz, and former Women’s U.S. Champion WGM Jennifer Yu, who is also the top seed of the tournament.

The event will feature a round-robin format, where each player will face off against every other participant. Games will adhere to the classical time control rules, with 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 additional minutes for the remainder of the game, and a 30-second increment per move. On July 28, the players will take a break from competition to engage in an “IRL stream” from the Malibu mansion.

Chess enthusiasts and fans of the participating creators can catch all the action by tuning in to the live broadcast on the Botez sisters’ Twitch channel, BotezLive, or on the individual streaming platforms of the participants. The event kicks off on July 24 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET / 20:00 CEST.

With such a talented and diverse lineup of participants, the Chess Camp promises to be a thrilling and competitive event. Who do you think will emerge victorious? Share your predictions in the comments and make sure to mark your calendars for this exciting chess extravaganza!
