The dynamic duo of GMs Magnus Carlsen and Parham Maghsoodloo have once again emerged victorious in the Titled Tuesday tournament, this time on March 11. Both players scored 9.5 points, with Carlsen clinching the win on tiebreaks over GM Jeffery Xiong. Maghsoodloo, on the other hand, secured his victory outright.

In the early tournament, Carlsen faced some tough competition, including a loss to GM Oleksandr Bortnyk in round seven. However, he rallied back with wins over GM Aleksandar Indjic and Denis Lazavik to ultimately claim the top spot. Xiong also put up a strong performance, defeating Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the final round.

In the late tournament, Maghsoodloo and Alireza Firouzja started off strong with a perfect 7/7 score. Despite some draws in the later rounds, Maghsoodloo managed to maintain his lead and secure the win with 9.5 points. Raunak Sadhwani, Jose Martinez, Javokhir Sindarov, and Arjun Erigaisi also put up impressive performances to finish in the top five.

With their wins, Carlsen and Maghsoodloo have moved ahead in the Titled Tuesday Grand Prix standings, inching closer to qualification for the Speed Chess Championship.
