The Chess.com Community Championships are back with a bang, offering chess enthusiasts a chance to showcase their skills and have a great time. With four exciting variants already completed, the fifth edition is now up for a vote, giving players the opportunity to choose between Chess with Checkers, Horde, Giveaway, and King of the Hill.

Chess with Checkers is a unique blend of chess and checkers, challenging players to visualize and memorize the board in a whole new way. Horde Chess pits Black against White, with White starting with a horde of pawns and Black aiming to capture them all. Giveaway Chess adds a twist by making captures mandatory and requiring players to lose all their pieces to win. Lastly, King of the Hill introduces a new win condition, where players can secure victory by moving their king to specific squares on the board.

Voting is open from April 17 to 22, and the winning variant will be featured in the upcoming May edition of the Community Championships.
