In response to the devastating flood that has ravaged the region in Valencia, Spain, Chess.com’s Spanish team organized a fundraiser to provide essential resources to those in need. The event, titled “Todos Por Valencia” or “Everyone for Valencia,” saw the participation of many prominent players and personalities, including super-GMs Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana, Anish Giri, and more.
The fundraiser, which exceeded its initial goal by raising over €15,000, featured a seven-hour long event where grandmasters and titled players faced off against viewers in exchange for donations. Various games, including hand and brain chess and one-vs-one matches, were played throughout the event.
