“D Gukesh’s Chief Trainer Challenges Magnus Carlsen for Norway Chess 2025, Reveals 2025 Plans for India No. 1”

Poland’s Grzegorz Gajewski, the chief trainer of Indian GM D Gukesh, has issued a challenge to his opponents at the upcoming Norway Chess 2025 tournament. Gajewski, who spoke to ChessBase India at the Freestyle Grand Slam Tour event, revealed his ambitions for Gukesh in 2025.

Gajewski emphasized the importance of learning and improving for Gukesh, rather than focusing solely on results. He recalled a conversation with Gukesh where the young player expressed his desire to be in the top 10 by the end of the year, but Gajewski advised him to concentrate on becoming a better player instead.

As Gukesh prepares to face top players like Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura at Norway Chess 2025, Gajewski made it clear that they are not going there just to learn, but to win. He expressed confidence in Gukesh’s abilities and stated that their goal is to dominate the competition.

The Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour will continue in Paris in April, with Gukesh being an automatic qualifier as the reigning world champion. While Gukesh’s participation in the event is not confirmed yet, fans can expect to see him compete against top players in the upcoming tournaments.

With Gajewski’s guidance and Gukesh’s determination, India’s No. 1 player is set to make a mark in the chess world in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on Gukesh’s journey to success in the world of chess.
