Chess Player R Vaishali Takes Over PM Modi’s Social Media Accounts on International Women’s Day
Chess player R Vaishali took over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s social media accounts on International Women’s Day, delivering a powerful message of supporting and encouraging women to pursue their dreams. Vaishali, who has been playing chess since the age of six and is the sibling of chess prodigy and grandmaster Praggnanandhaa, shared her journey and encouraged young girls to follow their dreams.
In a series of posts on PM Modi’s social media accounts, Vaishali expressed her pride in representing India in chess tournaments and highlighted the importance of following one’s passion. She emphasized the role of family support in achieving success and encouraged parents and siblings to trust in the abilities of girls.
Vaishali also praised the growing support for women athletes in India and expressed her aspirations to improve her FIDE ranking and contribute more to the sport she loves. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier reaffirmed his government’s commitment to women’s empowerment through various schemes and programs.
This initiative by PM Modi to hand over his social media accounts to women achievers on Women’s Day is not new. In 2020, he did the same, giving seven women achievers a global platform to inspire others. Vaishali’s takeover of PM Modi’s social media accounts serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting and empowering women to achieve their dreams.
