Exciting Opportunity for STEM Graduate Students: Join the Chess Masters Project with Opening Master and FIDE EDU!
STEM Graduate Students Invited to Participate in Groundbreaking Chess Science Project
Calling all STEM graduate degree students with a passion for chess and a minimum ELO of 2000! The Opening Master and FIDE Education Commission are seeking talented individuals to take part in cutting-edge predictive analytics research using the vast chess database of Opening Master OTB, which contains over 10.3 million official human games.
This unique opportunity allows participants to work on one of three specialized projects that aim to uncover hidden insights into chess openings, player development, and game outcomes. By combining analytical expertise with chess mastery, participants have the chance to make a significant impact on chess theory and potentially even contribute to the future of chess education.
The selected participants will have the opportunity to engage with real-world data, collaborate on research publications, network with high-ranking chess players and data enthusiasts, and compete for a grand prize of $1,000. Additionally, participants will receive lifetime access to the Opening Master database and support for expenses related to the project.
Interested applicants should submit a CV, cover letter, and statement of interest by April 15, 2024, to stemchess@openingmaster.com. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to revolutionize chess strategy and analytics, so don’t miss out—apply now and make your mark on the future of chess!
