A Stellar Performance by Firouzja

In another thrilling encounter, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave of the Mumba Masters bested Fabiano Caruana with black, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the match. The Pipers’ Hou Yifan and Leon Luke Mendonca rebounded from previous losses to secure wins, tipping the scales in their favor.
The Ganges Grandmasters, however, found success in their match against the Alaskan Knights, with Vishy Anand defeating Gukesh Dommaraju in a clash of Indian chess legends. Anand’s victory was bolstered by wins from Javokhir Sindarov and Polina Shuvalova, who remains one of only two players, alongside Firouzja, to have won all three of her games in Mumbai.
