Helldivers 2’s Next Big Patch Set to Drop Tomorrow, October 15
Helldivers 2 fans, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated next big patch for the game is set to drop tomorrow, October 15. Arrowhead Studios, the developers behind the game, had initially announced a 60-day plan during the summer but forgot to factor in weekends, resulting in a slight delay.
In a cheeky video teasing the upcoming patch, CCO Johan Pilestedt and developer Niklas Malmborg addressed the fact that the 60-day plan had turned into a 63-day one due to the studio’s policy of not patching during weekends to avoid disrupting players’ gameplay experience.
Some of the exciting changes coming in the patch include improvements to weapons like the autocannon and scorcher, as well as new features such as automatic fire for the scorcher and programmable ammo for the recoilless rifle. Players have been speculating about what these changes might entail, with one joking about running DOOM on bullets.
In addition to the patch, players can also participate in a new major order to help build a new space station. The latest step involves establishing a Terminid Research Preserve on Acamar IV to aid in research progress and meet E-710 requirements.
So, Helldivers, get ready to dive back into action and secure Gacrux as part of the new major order. Make sure to check back on October 15 for the patch release and full patch notes to experience all the exciting changes coming to Helldivers 2.
