Students of DPS Jammu shine in Inter-House Yoga and Chess Competition

The students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu showcased their skills and talents during an Inter-House Yoga and Chess Competition held recently. The event saw students from Classes II to XII participating in various yoga asanas and chess strategies, demonstrating their flexibility, balance, focus, and strategic thinking.

In the yoga competition, Yamuna House emerged as the overall winner, with students from different houses excelling in their respective categories. Aadhya Gupta from Tawi House and Bhavya Sharma from Yamuna House were among the top performers in the yoga competition for boys and girls in the III-V category. Similarly, Atharav Sharma from Yamuna House and Kasak Manhas from Tawi House stood out in the VI-VIII category.

In the chess competition, Chenab House emerged victorious, with students showcasing their tactical skills and strategic thinking on the chessboard. Ansh Bakshi from Ganga House and Alankrita Sharma from Yamuna House were among the top performers in the II-V category for boys and girls, while Jhigneshwar Razdan from Tawi House and Kanisha Sawhney from Chenab House excelled in the VI-VIII category.

The senior students (IX-XII) also displayed their prowess in both yoga and chess, with Abhiveer Sharma and Vansh Bakshi from Tawi House securing top positions in the boys’ category, and Sriyanika Gupta from Jhelum House and Kavya Verma from Chenab House shining in the girls’ category.

Overall, the Inter-House Yoga and Chess Competition at DPS Jammu was a resounding success, highlighting the students’ dedication, talent, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the participants and winners for their outstanding performances!
