The event kicks off on August 12 with four Play-in events, where titled women from around the globe will battle it out for a spot in the Main Event starting on August 22. Among the confirmed players is the current Women’s World Champion, Ju Wenjun, who is a favorite to take home the title.
Fans can also look forward to watching GM Kateryna Lagno, a three-time Women’s World Blitz Champion, and rising star Vaishali Rameshbabu from India, who has been making waves in the chess world.
