“Headphone Accommodations Feature Coming to macOS Sequoia: Customize Your Audio Experience”
Apple Brings Headphone Accommodations Feature to Mac with macOS Sequoia
Apple is expanding its accessibility features with the latest macOS Sequoia update, bringing the Headphone Accommodations feature to Mac users. This feature, previously available on iOS devices, allows users to customize their audio experience with AirPods and Beats headphones according to their hearing needs.
Users running the beta version of macOS Sequoia can access the Headphone Accommodations options in System Preferences under Accessibility and Audio settings. When activated, the system enhances sound quality for music, movies, calls, and podcasts, making them “more crisp and clear.”
Supported headphones for the Headphone Accommodations feature include AirPods Pro, AirPods, AirPods Max, Apple EarPods, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Solo Pro, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Pro, Beats Solo 4, and Beats Solo Buds.
Although the Headphone Accommodations settings were visible in the initial beta release of macOS Sequoia, the feature was not functional until it was fixed in beta 2.
Exciting Updates in macOS Sequoia
Aside from the Headphone Accommodations feature, macOS Sequoia introduces new Continuity features that allow users to mirror and interact with their iPhone screens on their Mac. Additionally, a standalone Passwords app simplifies password management without the need for third-party apps.
Later this year, Apple Intelligence will bring AI-based features to the Mac, enhancing user experience and productivity. macOS Sequoia is set to be released to the public in the fall, with a developer preview currently available and a public beta scheduled for next month.
With these updates, Apple continues to prioritize accessibility and user experience across its devices, making technology more inclusive and personalized for all users.
