Discover YouTube Playables: A New Way to Game on YouTube

Britons are known for spending countless hours on YouTube, watching everything from viral stunts to gadget reviews. But now, there’s a new way to procrastinate on the platform – playing video games.

Google has introduced YouTube Playables, a collection of around 75 games ranging from classic titles like Chess and Solitaire to popular mobile games like Angry Birds. These games can be accessed through YouTube’s mobile apps and website, making it easy for users to start gaming right away.

To play YouTube Playables, users simply need to open the YouTube app on their iPhone or Android device, scroll down to the ‘explore’ section, tap the compass icon, and select ‘playables.’ From there, they can choose from a variety of games to play, using touchscreen controls on mobile or a mouse/trackpad on computers.

Some of the games available on YouTube Playables include Angry Birds Showdown, Basketball FRVR: Dunk Shoot, Color Burst 3D, Cut the Rope, and more. These casual games are meant to be played in short bursts, without the need to download any additional software.

Google began testing YouTube Playables last summer, as part of their efforts to expand gaming options on the platform. With a wide range of games to choose from and easy accessibility, YouTube Playables offer a fun and convenient way for Britons to pass the time while browsing their favorite videos.
