PN Gadgil Jewellers: A Success Story of Growth and Innovation

PNG Jewellers, a renowned brand known for its traditional designs and fine craftsmanship, has experienced a significant rise in its share value since its IPO in September. This surge in market performance has propelled Saurabh Gadgil, the company’s MD and CEO, to a net worth of nearly $1 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Founded in 1832 as a small jewelry shop in Sangli, Maharashtra, PNG Jewellers has grown into a household name in the jewelry industry, thanks to six generations of the Gadgil family. Saurabh Gadgil, who took over the reins in 1998, has been instrumental in the brand’s transformation, with strategic collaborations and unique jewelry collections that capture popular trends.

Under Gadgil’s leadership, PNG Jewellers launched the successful “Timeless” collection with Madhuri Dixit and partnered with Salman Khan’s “Being Human” foundation. The company also ventured into silver jewelry with the creation of the “Silvostyle” brand, solidifying its position as a market leader and trendsetter.

Gadgil’s business acumen, honed during an internship at the Reserve Bank of India, has guided PNG Jewellers to expand both domestically and internationally. The company’s Q1 FY25 performance saw a 33% increase in revenue compared to the previous fiscal year, reaching Rs 1668 crore, with a PAT of Rs 35 crore.

With a strong legacy and a visionary leader at the helm, PNG Jewellers continues to thrive in an evolving global environment, setting new standards in the jewelry industry.
