In a stunning display of skill and dominance, GM Hikaru Nakamura emerged victorious in Saturday’s Bullet Brawl, solidifying his position as one of the top bullet chess players in the world. Nakamura scored an impressive 75.5/80 and accumulated 286 points, leaving his competitors in the dust.

IM Yoseph Taher and GM Sam Sevian rounded out the podium, finishing well below Nakamura with 222 and 199 points, respectively. Even top players like GM Magnus Carlsen and Arjun Erigaisi found themselves in eighth and ninth place, unable to match Nakamura’s incredible performance.

This edition of Bullet Brawl saw WGM Aleksandra Maltsevskaya winning the $100 best women’s prize for the second week in a row, while Canada’s “TaroRoot” emerged as the victor in the community event.

Nakamura’s remarkable performance included 75 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination. Despite facing tough competition from top GMs like Carlsen and Arjun, Nakamura remained unfazed and focused on securing victory.

With Nakamura’s win, he joins the ranks of only three players who have won consecutive Bullet Brawls, including GMs Daniel Naroditsky and Oleksandr Bortnyk. Nakamura’s memorable performance in this edition of Bullet Brawl cements his status as a formidable force in the world of bullet chess.

The next edition of Bullet Brawl is set to commence on Saturday, March 8, at noon ET/18:00 CEST, promising another thrilling showdown among the best speed chess players of the current generation. Stay tuned for more exciting bullet chess action!
