GM Hikaru Nakamura made a triumphant return to the Bullet Brawl arena after a two-week break, clinching his 27th title and the $400 first prize with an impressive score of 69.5/77. The competition was fierce, with GMs Andrew Tang and Jose Martinez rounding out the podium in a hotly contested top-10 lineup.

In the women’s category, WGM Aleksandra Maltsevskaya secured the $100 best women’s prize with a score of 106 points, edging out FM Anastasia Avramidou. Meanwhile, Jason Leverett emerged victorious in the community event, besting Eirik Berget and Cesar Frank Talledo Lagos.

The next Bullet Brawl is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2024, at noon ET/18:00 CEST.

Nakamura faced a challenging lineup of seven GMs in his first 10 games, including Tuan Minh Le, Oleksandr Bortnyk, Martinez, Novendra Priasmoro, Aram Hakobyan, and Andy Woodward. Despite the tough competition, Nakamura displayed exceptional form, securing an 8/10 score in the initial games.
