The US Chess National High School (K-12) Championship is set to take place this weekend in Baltimore, Maryland, featuring over 1,800 of the best scholastic chess players in the country. The event will showcase intense competition and exciting events for players and spectators alike.

One of the highlights of the championship will be the presence of special guest GM Elshan Moradiabadi, a renowned coach and author who has an impressive list of accomplishments in the world of chess. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from Moradiabadi through various events, including a simultaneous exhibition and Grandmaster Lectures with Q&A sessions.

In addition to the main championship, there will be Blitz and Bughouse tournaments for those who enjoy fast-paced and thrilling chess action. Spectators can witness the excitement of these tournaments and see some of the most intense gameplay of the weekend.

For those not participating in the K-12 championship, there will be a Friends and Family Chess Tournament on Saturday, allowing parents, grandparents, and friends to join in on the fun and compete in a friendly atmosphere.
