Registration Open for FIDE World Youth Chess Championships 2024 in Brazil – Deadline August 16!

Registration is now open for the FIDE World Youth Chess Championships 2024, set to take place in Florianopolis, Brazil from October 28 to November 10. Organized by FIDE, CCA, and CBX, the event will feature six sections for players in age categories Under 18, Under 16, and Under 14.

US Chess is accepting registrations for eligible U.S. participants until August 16, 2024. Players must register with US Chess and meet the necessary requirements to participate in the tournament.

The tournament will consist of 11 rounds using a Swiss system format, with specific time controls and regulations in place. Accommodations must be booked through US Chess, and all players and accompanying persons must stay at the official hotels of the event.

Additionally, US Chess is offering coaching services for players who opt-in, providing pre-game preparation and post-game analysis. Travel waivers and other important information are also outlined for participants.
