Exciting News: Registrations Open for Fall 2024 Collegiate Chess League Season!

The Collegiate Chess League is back with a bang for the Fall 2024 season, and registrations are now open for college students who want to showcase their chess skills and represent their schools in this prestigious online competition.

With a $25,000 prize fund and presenting partner Susquehanna, one of the world’s leading quantitative trading firms, the event promises to be exciting and competitive. Last season saw over 370 teams from 180 different colleges worldwide participate, and this season is expected to be even bigger and better.

The league features a four vs. four team format with a 5+2 time control, ensuring fast-paced games filled with drama, swindles, and excitement. Players of all strengths are welcome to join, from hobbyists to professionals like GMs Robby Kevlishvili, Mikhail Antipov, Nicolas Checa, and more.

Can anyone stop St. Louis from claiming their fourth consecutive title this season? Last Spring, St. Louis defeated Webster University to take home the $5,000 prize with a score of 12-4.

Registrations for the Fall 2024 season close on September 18th, so interested students should act fast to secure their spot. Team captains can register their teams on LeagueSpot, while individual players can join their teams and sign the fair play agreement.

Whether you’re a seasoned chess player or just starting out, the Collegiate Chess League offers a unique opportunity to compete against top college players and potentially win cash prizes. Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this exciting event – sign up today and show off your chess skills on the virtual chessboard!
