Dedicated Community Care Workers Honored with New Dance Campaign

Title: Community Care Workers Honored with TikTok Dance Campaign

Two dedicated community care workers, Low Zheng Yi and Caral Goh, have been recognized for their selfless service in the sector. Both individuals, who work at Sengkang Community Hospital, have been working and volunteering in the community care sector for more than four years.

Caral Goh, inspired by the loss of her father to lung cancer, has been working as a wellbeing coordinator at Sengkang Community Hospital since last year. She helps link patients in the community with the right activities to support them after recovery, providing them with an aftercare plan.

In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) launched its first TikTok dance campaign, #Dance2HeartOfCare, to honor community care workers like Low Zheng Yi and Caral Goh. The campaign features a dance choreographed by popular TikTok performer Uncle Raymond, aiming to show appreciation for staff members who care for seniors.

The dance campaign, which took three months to plan, features celebrities, influencers, and seniors dancing to a song composed by Singaporean actor and musician Tosh Rock. Uncle Raymond performed the dance with eight staff members at Sengkang Community Hospital, bringing joy to patients watching on excitedly.

The campaign not only aims to appreciate community care workers but also hopes to encourage young Singaporeans to consider a career in the sector. Low Zheng Yi, a senior occupational therapist at SCH, shared her passion for helping patients recover and improve their quality of life.

The dance provides a sense of hope and positivity to both community care staff and patients, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere. Through this campaign, AIC hopes to raise awareness about the importance of the community care sector and inspire more individuals to join this meaningful field.
