Urgent Recall: Kluster Fun Tabletop Magnet Chess Game Poses Serious Risk to Children

Date: March 12, 2026

In a significant safety alert, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the Kluster Fun Tabletop Magnet Chess Game due to a serious ingestion hazard posed by loose high-powered magnets. The recall affects games sold in both black and white pouches, which contain small magnets that can fit within the CPSC’s small parts cylinder, making them a potential danger for children.

What You Need to Know

The recalled Kluster Fun games, which include approximately 24 magnets, an orange string, an instruction manual, and a storage pouch, were available at independent game shops nationwide and online at Klustermagnets.com, Amazon.com, and Etsy.com from October 2018 to September 2025, priced between $15 and $20.

The CPSC warns that if these high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other or other metal objects, leading to severe health risks such as intestinal perforations, twisting, blockage, blood poisoning, and even death.

Immediate Action Required

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled games immediately and keep them away from children. Stoney Games, LLC, the importer based in Bexley, Ohio, is advising customers to contact them for instructions on how to safely dispose of the recalled magnets and obtain replacement magnets that do not pose a choking hazard.

Safety First

This recall serves as a stark reminder of the importance of product safety, particularly for toys and games designed for children. The CPSC has been vigilant in its mission to protect the public from unreasonable risks associated with consumer products, and this recall is a testament to their ongoing efforts.
