Thomas was a valued member of the community, known not only for his professional achievements but also for his vibrant personality and diverse interests.
Thomas dedicated nearly four decades of his life to his career at Silgan (formerly Monsanto), where he served as crew chief until his retirement in 1999. Beyond his work, Thomas was a spiritual man whose creative spirit found expression through various hobbies. He enjoyed ping-pong, fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting, reveling in the great outdoors. His love for nature was evident in his activities, which included camping and woodworking.
In addition to his hobbies, Thomas was known as “The Poet,” having published 12 books, mostly spiritual poetry, and many about family and friends. He was a committed member of the Salem Community Missionary Church in Wilmot and actively participated in church activities.
Thomas is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, who will remember him fondly. His passing marks the loss of a beloved patriarch, preceded in death by his parents, wife, great-grandson, and brothers.
