June has plenty of sporting action taking place – which you can find listed out in ESPN India’s sporting calendar.

Second seeds Bopanna-Ebden into French Open semifinals
The second seeded Indo-Australian duo of Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden stayed on track for their second straight Grand Slam, reaching the semifinals of the French Open with a three-game win.
They Belgium’s Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen 7-6 (3) 5-7 6-1 in an hour and four minutes.
Bopanna and Ebden prevailed to take the first set in the Tiebreak but the Belgians came back strongly to win the second set with a break of Ebden’s serve in the penultimate game.
However, Bopanna and Ebden were empathic in the decider as they broke early to quickly establish their dominance and never gave their opponents an inch.
It hasn’t been an easy road for the Australian Open champions as they played three-setters in their first and third round matches too. They had a walkover in the second round.

The Indonesia Open was one of the last big tournaments before the Paris Olympics and Sindhu was hoping to show her best but that was not the case.
She didn’t begin well, lost the opening game but recovered well to win the next game. The deciding game started close but a couple of errors, including a line judgement, turned the match around. Chi Hsu converted her opportunities and closed the game out.
