Swarnava Biswas from West Bengal Achieves 82.67 in GATE 2025 Electronics and Communication Engineering Exam
Swarnava Biswas, a final year student of BE Electronics and Telecommunications at Jadavpur University in West Bengal, has made his family proud by achieving a remarkable score of 82.67 out of 100 in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the GATE 2025 exam. What makes his achievement even more impressive is his unique background – his father is a chess coach, while his mother is a professional photographer.
Coming from a middle-class family, Swarnava had set his sights on cracking the GATE exam to uplift his family’s financial condition. With influences from both chess and photography, he developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills which helped him excel in the exam.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Swarnava shared his study routine and preparation strategy for the exam. He emphasized the importance of clarity on topics and advised students to solve previous year’s questions to identify their strengths and weaknesses in different subjects.
Despite facing challenges such as long hours of travel to college, Swarnava made the most of his time by studying and revising on his phone during the commute. He also credited the support from his family and the guidance from his mentor at PhysicsWallah for his success in the exam.
Looking ahead, Swarnava expressed his desire to work with a reputable company in the field of VLSI and pursue higher studies. With his GATE scores valid for three years, he is considering enrolling in an MTech program after graduation.
