US Chess Deputy Executive Director Position Available in St. Louis Office – Apply Now!

US Chess is currently seeking a Deputy Executive Director to join their team in St. Louis, Missouri. This full-time position with benefits is set to start on or before October 23, 2024. The Deputy Executive Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency and providing support to the team.

Responsibilities for the position include overseeing various departments such as Communications/Publications, HR, Accounting, and Member complaint functions. The Deputy Executive Director will also be responsible for budget monitoring, improving membership services, managing HR practices, and overseeing grant management. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required for this role, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field, and at least 5-7 years of operational/financial leadership experience within a nonprofit organization.

While knowledge of chess is not required, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly become proficient in the core services of US Chess. The position requires residency in the vicinity of the US Chess headquarters in St. Louis, MO, and the salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
