World Chess Championship 2024 Opening Ceremony Live Streaming Details: D Gukesh vs Ding Liren

The World Chess Championship 2024 is set to kick off with an epic opening ceremony today, November 23. The highly anticipated match will feature India’s D Gukesh facing off against China’s Ding Liren in a battle of wits and strategy.

Ding Liren, the reigning world champion, will defend his title against the 18-year-old Indian prodigy, Gukesh. The young grandmaster earned his spot in the championship after winning the Candidates Tournament in Toronto earlier this year, making him the youngest challenger in World Chess Championship history.

The showdown between Gukesh and Liren will be a 14-game affair, with tiebreakers scheduled for a separate day if needed. Each win will earn the players one point, while a draw will award them half a point. The first player to reach a score of 7.5 points will be crowned the World Chess Champion.

Fans can catch all the action of the opening ceremony and the championship games on the YouTube and Twitch channels of FIDE and Chess.com. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm IST at the Equarius Hotel in Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.

Stay tuned for what promises to be an intense and thrilling battle of minds at the World Chess Championship 2024!
