Manchester United Held to Frustrating Goalless Draw Away at Crystal Palace

Manchester United were left frustrated as they were held to a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace despite a dominant display and 24 shots on goal. The match saw both goalkeepers, Dean Henderson for Palace and Andre Onana for United, put on brilliant performances to keep the scoreline level.

United controlled the game from the start, with Garnacho and Matthijs de Ligt testing Henderson early on. Fernandes and Garnacho came close to scoring in the first half, with Fernandes hitting the crossbar and the woodwork denying Garnacho’s effort.

In the second half, Fernandes and Garnacho continued to threaten but were unable to find the back of the net. Onana made a remarkable double save to keep United in the game, denying Eddie Nketiah and Sarr with impressive stops.

Despite dominating the game, United were unable to break the deadlock and Palace had a chance to snatch the win late on, but Eze missed a golden opportunity to score from Sarr’s pass.

Manager Erik ten Hag expressed his disappointment after the match, stating, “When we don’t win, I’m not content. We should have won. First half, we ate them alive. Then in the second half, it was more in the balance but first half, we should have scored one or two goals.”

The result leaves Palace in 16th place, two points clear of the relegation zone, while United sit in 11th place in the Premier League standings. Fans will be hoping for a more clinical performance from United in their next match as they look to climb up the table.
