Indian Men’s Chess Team Clinches Maiden Gold at 45th Chess Olympiad

In a historic moment for Indian chess, the men’s team emerged victorious at the 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary. Led by the young prodigy D Gukesh, the team put up a stellar performance to claim the gold medal in the open category.

Gukesh, the youngest ever challenger to the world title, showcased his exceptional skills by delivering one of the best individual performances in the tournament. With nine points out of 10 games, including eight victories, Gukesh played a crucial role in securing the team’s triumph.
