Philadelphia Eagles Eyeing Jamal Adams in Free Agency Amid Aggressive Offseason Moves

The Philadelphia Eagles are making waves this offseason with their aggressive approach to free agency. General manager Howie Roseman has been busy adding veteran star power to the roster, and it seems like he may not be done just yet.

Despite focusing on the secondary during the NFL Draft, the Eagles could still be looking to add a big veteran piece to their defense. The Bleacher Report Scouting Department suggests that former Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams could be a realistic option for the Eagles.

Pairing Adams with Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, whom the Eagles reunited with earlier this offseason, would be a significant upgrade for the team. Adams’ versatility would give defensive coordinator Vic Fangio more options in terms of how to deploy him on the field.

Adams, who never quite found his footing in Seattle, could be a good fit for the Eagles’ defense. With over $25 million in cap space still available, Roseman and Philadelphia could take a chance on Adams’ physicality and disruptive play near the line of scrimmage.

If Adams can prove that he’s fully healthy, he could provide veteran leadership and be a disruptive force for a defense that is undergoing significant changes ahead of the 2024 season.

In other news, the Eagles have released veteran tight end Noah Togiai as they continue to refine their roster. Togiai has bounced around the league since signing with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2020. With Dallas Goedert leading the tight end depth chart, the Eagles are looking to add depth and competition at the position with a mix of veterans and rookies vying for roster spots.
