Exciting Partnership Announcement: Chess.com Teams Up with Judit Polgar for 2024 Global Chess Festival

Chess.com is thrilled to announce its partnership with legendary GM Judit Polgar for the upcoming 2024 Judit Polgar’s Global Chess Festival. The event, set to take place on September 17 at the Hungarian National Gallery and September 18 at the Intercontinental Budapest in Budapest, Hungary, promises a day filled with games, workshops, demonstrations, and chess tournaments.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities and meet prominent figures in the chess world, including famous players and content creators. The festival, now in its 10th edition, aims to share the beauty of the game and connect people through chess.

One of the main attractions of this year’s festival is a simultaneous exhibition with Judit Polgar herself. The strongest woman in the history of chess will play against eight communities via vote chess, with live commentary and an interview with Polgar available on Chess.com’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

In addition to the exhibition, the festival will feature a book signing with the Polgar sisters, a Mini Game Competition, an art exhibition, Chess Palace Adventure Trails for kids, a chess tournament, and the 4th EDU Chess Summit where guest speakers will discuss chess as a tool for education and life skills development.

To get fans warmed up for the festival, Chess.com will host four #ChessConnectsUs arenas where members can compete for a chance to win a private group lesson with Judit Polgar and premium Chess.com memberships.

If you’re excited for the 2024 Judit Polgar’s Global Chess Festival, be sure to tune in to the live broadcast on September 17 to watch Polgar in action and check out the festival’s YouTube channel for more content from the event.
