The tournament featured competitive categories for Under-11, Under-19, and Open divisions, drawing chess enthusiasts from cities including Navsari, Surat, Ankleshwar, Valsad, Vapi, Bilimora, and even Mumbai. Participants ranged from a precocious 3.5-year-old chess prodigy to an 80-year-old veteran, showcasing the game’s universal appeal and the joy of learning across generations.
Led by Tournament Director Mr. Trishul D. Patel and supported by AICF and FIDE-affiliated arbiters, the event also welcomed several FIDE-rated players, providing a unique platform for aspiring chess talents to compete and learn from seasoned opponents.
