This year’s EWC Chess Finals will see a new format, with the Play-In phase featuring four finalists from DreamHack Atlanta and four from the Last Chance Qualifier. Only two of these eight players will advance to the group stage, where they will face Carlsen and 11 other qualified players.

The Champions Chess Tour has filled 11 additional spots, showcasing top talents like Firouzja, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, and other chess heavyweights.

As the tournament approaches, the excitement builds. Fans are encouraged to tune in for the Last Chance Qualifier from August 4 to 6, where the final two spots for the group stage will be determined.
