This win marked Yoo as the eighth different player to claim victory in a Freestyle Friday event.

Yoo’s only setback came in the fifth round when he lost to Grandmaster Alexey Sarana. Despite a few setbacks, Sevian’s quick play and tactical skills were evident in his games. The women’s prize was claimed by International Master Bibisara Assaubayeva, who finished in 24th place.
