February 23, 2024 – If you missed the chance to try out the Cursed Words demo, you’re in luck! Developer Buried Things and publisher Forklift Interactive have announced that the demo will make a triumphant return on Monday, February 23, coinciding with the highly anticipated Steam Next Fest.
The game, which promises to be a captivating blend of strategy and wordplay, allows players to form words using tiles that can be arranged horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. As you progress, you can unlock new characters and upgrades, including chess pieces, poker hands, and various symbols that can be combined to score points. The updated demo features more content than before, including a new boss to conquer on the 6th floor—so prepare for a challenge!
In Cursed Words, players can spend coins between rounds on Stamps, Stickers, and special tiles, transforming what might look like random keyboard mashing into impressive scores of 400 points or more. This engaging gameplay is sure to keep players hooked, potentially affecting their free time, grades, and even work performance.
The demo will be available on Steam for PC starting February 23, with the full game set to release later in 2026.
