Apple Increases Size Limits for iOS and tvOS Apps: What You Need to Know

Apple is making big changes to the size limits for iOS and tvOS apps, allowing developers to create larger and more advanced apps and games. With the upcoming iOS 18 and tvOS 18 updates, app bundles can now be up to 4GB, doubling the previous limit. Additionally, on-demand resource limits have been increased from 40GB to 70GB, giving developers more flexibility in how they distribute content.

These changes will not only benefit developers but also users, as apps can now offer more content without taking up as much storage space on their devices. This is especially good news for gamers, as they can expect to see more console-level games coming to iOS and tvOS in the future.

While the updates are currently available in beta for developers, a public beta is expected next month, with the official launch set for this fall. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the world of iOS and tvOS apps!
